Every day, I turn on the television and I see your truth® commercial. I appreciate the fact that your organization is going beyond society's limits to reach out to people that do not consider smoking to be such a life-threatening habit.
For the past six months, I have wanted to reach out to my mother to help her stop smoking. She did not consider smoking to be such a grave inclination. I would always sum up a semblance of courage, but when I would approach her, all the courage would fly out of my limbs. Finally, I saw your commercial about premature babies and how smoking affects their health and behavior, and it struck me. I was premature; did my mother's smoking affect me?
I approached her and we spoke about how I thought that smoking was not only affecting her, but my younger sister and myself, who both suffer from asthma. I told her about all the information I had gotten from your thought- provoking website, and she decided that she didn't want her children to suffer. We spent hours talking about how we have been wasting our lives letting people we love smoke and harm themselves and others. It's been 4 months, 7 days, and 16 hours since she quit, and I have no other person to thank than your organization.
I have been looking for someone to help me face my mother and help me explain to her that by picking up a cigarette, she was slowly hurting all of us. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me through my time of need. I appreciate a company that tells you the cold hard truth, and will be always be a supporter to your cause.
